A prayer by Clarissa Pinkola Estes

Recently I am reading the book Women Who Run with the Wolves written by Clarissa Pinkola Estes and it is helping me to heal and release some old traumas. Reading this book is like putting myself together. It is such a blessing. I think this is a first time in my life when I feel that someone really understands me. :) Its funny but is true.

I strongly recommend reading this book for every women who struggles from depression, bad relationships, lack of creativity or low self-esteem.

This prayer is from the book:

Refuse to fall down
If you cannot refuse to fall down,
refuse to stay down.
If you cannot refuse to stay down,
lift your heart toward heaven,
and like a hungry beggar,
ask that it be filled.
You may be pushed down.
You may be kept from rising.
But no one can keep you from lifting your heart
toward heaven only you.
It is in the middle of misery
that so much becomes clear.
The one who says nothing good
came of this, is not yet listening.

Grant me the wisdom to understand the sacred in nature

“To the East, the place of insight and rebirth, I send a prayer. To the West, the place of death and wisdom, I send a voice. To the North, the place of clarity and cleansing, I offer respect. To the South, the place where Amaru, the serpent spirit, dwells and teaches healing and the spiritual powers of plants in the green place of reproduction and regeneration, I sing a song. To the Four Winds, I cast my spirit, open my heart, release my soul, and surrender to my destiny. Grant me the wisdom to understand the sacred in nature.” —J.E.Williams, The Andean Codex

Mandala Magic

Since I am working as a designer I am at the computer all the time. So I draw some mandalas in Adobe Illustrator and made a video. Just for fun :)

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Desiderata (Latin: “desired things”) is a 1927 prose poem by American writer Max Ehrmann.

The Warrior’s Prayer by Stuart Wilde

I am what I am.
In having faith in the beauty within me, I develop trust.
In softness I have strength.
…In silence I walk with the gods.
In peace I understand myself and the world.
In conflict I walk away.
In detachment I am free.
In respecting all living things, I respect myself.
In dedication I honour the courage within me.
In eternity I have compassion for the nature of all things.
In love I unconditionally accept the evolution of others.
In freedom I have power.
In my individuality, I express the God-Force within me.
In service I give of what I have become.
I am what I am:
Eternal, immortal, universal, and infinite.

And so be it.
